Every clinical decision in this product was made by someone who's actually sat in the chair. That doesn't make Theracharts perfect, but it does mean the product respects the work — short forms, smart defaults, no unnecessary friction between you and the next client.

Do I need to leave my EHR?
No. Theracharts is a clinical intelligence layer that runs alongside your EHR. Your billing, scheduling, intake, and insurance workflow stay where they are. We handle the assessments, outcome tracking, AI notes, and directory — the parts your EHR doesn't do.
Is it HIPAA-compliant?

How does the AI work?
GPT-4.1-mini drafts session notes from your bullet points, with the client's recent assessment scores auto-populated. You always review and edit before saving. AI never queries your database directly — it gets a structured summary, not raw PHI. Tier-based usage limits prevent runaway cost.
What's "The Theracharts Standard"?
A values-based pledge therapists sign before joining the public directory. Three commitments: Measure (track outcomes with validated tools), Adapt (use evidence-based approaches and adjust when something isn't working), Advocate (put client wellbeing ahead of billable hours). Self-selection, not enforced.
Can I import existing client data?
Yes. Pro and Practice tiers support manual client invites (up to 100 batch). Enterprise tier adds bulk CSV import. We don't auto-import from your EHR because that gets messy fast — but the manual invite flow is fast (about 30 seconds per client).
What if I cancel?
Export everything as PDF or CSV at any time. Cancel from billing settings — no calls, no friction. Your data stays accessible during the billing period and is exportable for 30 days after cancellation.
